Eleventh International Conference on the Book

Universität Regensburg Universitätsbibliothek, Regensburg, Germany

26-27 September, 2013

Conference Focus

The Book Conference serves as an inclusive forum for examining the past, current and future role of the book. It proceeds from recognition that although the book is an old medium of expression, it embodies half a millennium’s experience of recording knowledge. Its pervasive influence continues to shape newer forms of information technology, while at the same time providing a reference point for innovation.

We are inviting proposals for paper presentations, workshops/interactive sessions, posters/exhibits, or colloquia (See Proposal Types).  For more information about the ideas and themes underlying this community, see Our Focus: Themes. Proposal ideas that extend beyond these thematic areas will also be consideredVirtual participation is available for those who are unable to attend the conference in person.
